the page is a stage
patience adorns what is white
work is the ugly sister
I’m the mad scientist
hypothesizing the first lasting passionate
leaning against the Sunday school, sun upon you
and nah-thing to do
cover your ears from time to time—
beneath ambition sleeps delight!
this sieve strains passion tween teeth
I fall flat for minerals
my muse is my marriage
if I were a superhero, I’d grant power in others first
I lost my plan somewhere in the moment
canoeing beneath the bell towers
ignoring the alarmed hours
I’m that actor
long seeking the role of his life
mercy is me at the watering hole—
a raven, sirening gazelles
oh, if my mindwalls could speak—
what a polyglot I’d mete!
a charm possessed loses its value—becomes a possession
in matters of lost and found, I’ve found it best to hang around
both sides the counter
the surprises of truth! the consistency of love..
or is it vice versa? regardless—to have both
I think of the answer fit—
then swallow it
I’ve got oodles of thanks, no noodles to season with
oh this sullen body, once my supernova
if pining were only meditation..
